It is present day and Earth is slowly but surely being infiltrated by Retrofits, an alien race who take human form and act as everyday civilians in an ignorant world. A 19-year-old ex-felon, Rowa, gains knowledge of why Retros have come and who they’re targeting. A 15-year-old school girl is their next target. If they succeed in harming her, the future of humanity will be in jeopardy.

Rowa, who vows never to kill again, has the power to save the girl.

Then he meets young Sofia, and in one afternoon spent helping her find her lost dog, he yearns for redemption more than ever. Torn between saving a life and saving his soul, Rowa knows he is running out of time. But this is one race Rowa feels like he can’t win.
